The phenomenal pianist Paul Lewis to replace Robert Levin in the upcoming concert series of the Israel Camerata Jerusalem
Due to corona constraints, pianist Robert Levin will be unable to come to Israel. We are privileged to host, in his place, Paul Lewis, one of the leading pianists of our generation. Paul Lewis had a change in schedule when his performances in Italy later this month were cancelled. He has agreed – at short notice – to come to Israel. He will perform two piano concertos by Mozart, (No. 27 and No. 12) with the orchestra.
During his last visit to Israel in 2017, Paul Lewis was a soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. He frequently performs with the most prominent orchestras in the world and has received many accolades. Among the prestigious international awards for his playing: the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Instrumentalist of the Year, three Gramophone Awards as well as honorary degrees from British universities.
